Overview
Whether you are at home or working abroad, the last thing you want to worry about is your health. You need the peace of mind that you have access to the very best treatment available, whenever and wherever you need it.
This is exactly why Raffles Health Insurance (“RHI”) is proud to partner Bupa Global (“Bupa”), an established and reputable international health care specialist with a wide network of participating hospitals and clinics worldwide to bring you Lifeline, insured by RHI and administered by Bupa.
Why Choose Lifeline?
Lifeline provides cover on a worldwide basis. You can choose where you want to be treated in any recognised hospital or clinic worldwide. Lifeline has three levels of cover - Essential, Classic and Gold - as well as options for extra international assistance and a choice of deductibles to help you to select the cover you need to match your budget.
Essential
Essential covers any essential hospital treatment you may need, whether in an emergency or a planned visit. All surgery, eligible cancer treatment and advanced imaging, whether received while staying in hospital or visiting as a day-patient, are covered.
Classic
Our Classic cover is designed to cover you for any specialist medical treatment or diagnosis. You will be covered for in-patient hospital stays as well as out-patient consultations, treatment such as physiotherapy and a range of preventive health checks.
Gold
Gold is the most comprehensive plan in the Lifeline range containing in-patient and out-patient care and a number of key benefits including:
- Consultations with consultants, specialists and family doctors
- Prescribed medicines
- Maternity cover* after 10 months membership
- Four preventive health checks.
*Maternity benefits are payble only after the mother has been a member for 10 months.
24x7 Access To Medical Advice Worldwide
Health advice is just one call away with Healthline. Should you or a member of your family become ill, you will be able to pick up the phone and speak to a medical professional at any time of the day or night. All three Lifeline plans give you round-the-clock access to worldwide medical advice with Healthline. The multi-lingual Healthline team is ready to give you general healthcare advice, information about local medical facilities, medical referrals and travel advice.
Optional Worldwide Medical Assistance Cover
If you think that your circumstances might require additional medical assistance, e.g. you live in a remote part of the world or somewhere with limited medical facilities, you can select one of the following two options for Assistance Cover:
Evacuation
If you are concerned about the quality of local medical care, this is ideal. If the treatment you need is not available locally, we will arrange for you to be evacuated to the nearest centre of medical excellence, no matter where you are in the world.
Repatriation
Our highest level of Assistance Cover gives you the choice of returning to your home country, to be treated in familiar surroundings, near your friends and relatives (if treatment is not available locally). If this happens, you can choose to have someone to accompany you for your visit back home.
