Ms Tang Mui Ee is a counsellor at Raffles Counselling Centre. She made a career change and embarked on a new journey as a counsellor with a passion for empowering people and steering them towards growth, development, and positive change.
Mui Ee provides counselling to individuals from all walks of life including children, youths, and families. She has worked in private practices, hospitals, social service agencies, and has also served in faith-based capacities. She is experienced in helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, work and life transitions, relationship issues, parenting challenges, grief, anger, and low self-esteem issues.
Mui Ee believes that every client is unique and hence, adopts a person-centric and integrated counselling approach. This includes tapping on cognitive-behavioural and expressive art approaches to support clients in achieving their goals. She seeks to create a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for her clients to express their thoughts and emotions. She is committed to helping them move towards growth and reconciliation in all aspects of their life.
Mui Ee holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University. She is an accredited Positive Parenting Programme Facilitator, Ministry of Social and Family Development’s Family Life Educator, and a Certified Prepare / Enrich Facilitator with the Marriage and Family Institute of Singapore. To ensure that clients receive the best care, she is committed to continuing professional development and supervision.
Ms Tang provides both face-to-face and online counselling. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien.
