Profile:

Dr Lynette Low is a Ministry of Health accredited Dermatologist. A graduate from Queen Mary’s, University of London (2005), she is registered with the General Medical Council (UK) and was also the Junior Doctor Representative for her Deanery to the Department of Health in the UK where she completed her Internal Medical training. Dr Low’s experience in patient care has been international. She trained at the Ambrose King Centre and Bart’s Sexual Health Centre in London as well as at the St Mary’s Hospital Dermatology Department, Imperial College (London) running the Paediatric, Vulvar and Skin cancer clinics. She also understudied at Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School, USA), St Vincent’s Hospital as well as the Skin and Cancer Foundation (Melbourne, Australia). Most recently she trained at the KK Women’s and Children’s Vulvar Clinic in Singapore.  After being elected as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (London, UK) in 2009, she returned to Singapore and completed her Advanced Specialist Training (2011-2014) at the National Skin Centre and was appointed a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Dermatology) in 2014.  She is a Member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, she practised as a Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre and at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She ran the Women’s Clinic and General Clinics at the Department of Sexually Transmitted Infection Control Clinic and was an appointed Health Officer for Sexually Transmitted Infections by the Ministry of Health. Dr Low has published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals, The Asian Skin Atlas and has also presented at various local and international platforms. In 2013, she was awarded best case report presentation at the Dermatology Update Conference in Singapore by Dr Jean Bolognia. She has also been a Faculty Lecturer, Examiner and Clinical Tutor for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (National University of Singapore) and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Her interests are in men and women’s health (acne, hair loss and genital dermatology), sexual health, aesthetics (scars, pigmentation and tattoo removal). She also practises general adult and paediatric dermatology including eczema, mole checks, psoriasis, urticaria and vitiligo.
