Dr Kaushal Amit Sanghvi

Profile:
Dr Sanghvi is a Specialist in General Surgery. He first obtained his medical degree in 1996 and subsequently, his Master in Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2008. Dr Sanghvi was conferred Intercollegiate Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasglow (UK) in 2006, and Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012.
Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Dr Sanghvi was a Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Department of General Surgery. He was Head of Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Services and the Director of Bariatric Programme from 2018 to 2022. As a key opinion leader, he contributes to policy decision as a member of several Ministry of Health committees, which includes the National Value-Based Healthcare Workgroup for Hernia repair. In the wider medical community, he had served on the board of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of Singapore from 2017 to 2019 as the Treasurer. He remains an active contributor of opinion and expertise till date.
Dr Sanghvi was also an Associate Professor, Principal Lead of General Surgery and the 2nd Assistant Dean at Nanyang Technological Univeristy’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where he oversaw the postgraduate training and education for medicine students in year 5.
