Dr Anthony Foo Tun Lin

Hand and reconstructive surgery, congenital hand conditions, trauma, flap reconstruction, small joint arthroscopy & arthroplasty, and functional reconstruction for nerve deficit.
Profile:
Dr Foo graduated from University College London in 2005 and completed specialization in Hand Surgery in 2013. He was awarded a Gold Medal from the Academy of Medicine in the exit examination and was admitted as a Fellow of the academy.
Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, he was a consultant in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery at National University Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the National University of Singapore. His clinical practice was cultivated by regular travelling fellowships to various centres that include Mayo Clinic (Rochester), Schulthess Klinik (Zurich), Ospedale Borgo Roma (Verona), Lerdsin Hospital (Bangkok), and Ningxia People’s Hospital (Yinchuan).
He has published a number of peer reviewed articles on new surgical techniques, anatomy and biomechanics. In undergraduate education, NUS Medical Society and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine has conferred him several awards for teaching and role modelling. At post graduate level, Dr Foo is a committee of the Residency Advisory Council for examination and assessment.
In the wider hand surgery community, Dr Foo has been on the council of the Singapore Society for Hand Surgery since 2009 and has chaired several scientific meetings involving international partners from North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific nations. He was the faculty of several regional IBRA (International Bone Research Association) and Depuy AO courses on fracture, bone fixation, and microsurgical reconstruction.
Dr Foo’s clinical interest spans the breadth of hand and reconstructive surgery, encompassing congenital hand conditions, trauma, flap reconstruction, small joint arthroscopy & arthroplasty, and functional reconstruction for nerve deficit. His other areas of interest are wound management and diabetic foot reconstruction.
