According to the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Workplace Safety and Health (First-Aid) Regulations, all workplaces must provide for a sufficient number of first-aid boxes on each floor of the building. Where there are more than 25 employees, certified first-aiders must be appointed within the workplace (required ratio one first-aider to every 100 employees). And for every 500 persons employed in a workplace, a first-aid room must be provided and maintained.
